WE’RE FOLLOWING SOME BREAKING HEADLINES HERE AT 653 ON YOUR FRIDAY. FIRE CREWS KEEPING FLAMES FROM SPREADING TO A HOME IN EASTERN OKLAHOMA COUNTY. BUT UNFORTUNATELY, WE DO KNOW THAT SEVERAL CHICKENS WERE LOST IN THAT FIRE. KOCO CREWS THERE ON THAT SCENE IN ABOUT 30 MINUTES AGO NEAR SOUTHEAST 59TH AND LUTHER ROAD. A 911 CALLER TOLD FIREFIGHTERS IT LOOKED LIKE A GRASS FIRE WAS SPREADING TO A NEARBY SHED. CREWS DID TELL US THE FIRE DID REACH AND BURN A CHICKEN COOP THERE. WE CAN TELL YOU THAT NO HUMANS WERE HURT THERE. AND SOME OTHER BREAKING NEWS. OHP AND OKLAHOMA CITY POLICE ARE SEARCHING FOR A SUSPECT AFTER AN EARLY MORNING CHASE. THIS IS A LOOK FROM THAT SCENE NEAR AIRPORT ROAD AND I-44, WHERE POLICE WERE SEARCHING FOR THE SUSPECT. RIGHT NOW WE ARE WAITING FOR STATE TROOPERS TO GIVE US SOME MORE INFORMATION. WE’LL BRING YOU THOSE UPDATES AS WE GET THEM. AND HAPPENING TODAY, PONCA CITY PUBLIC SCHOOLS SAYS THAT CLASSES WILL BE REMOTE FOR EAST MIDDLE SCHOOL AND THE HIGH SCHOOL, AFTER HUNDREDS OF STUDENTS CALLED IN SICK. WE’RE TOLD THAT OUT OF THE 1400 HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS, MORE THAN 500 WERE ABSENT. EMPLOYEE
