Before founding his company, Mr. Selig was the director of corporate finance at Bear Stearns in San Francisco from 1984 to 1987. His expertise in corporate finance was also honed during his tenure as managing director at Bankers Trust International in Tokyo between 1981 and 1984 and as the vice president of its corporate finance department in the Greater New York City area from 1978 to 1981. While in Tokyo, Mr. Selig became recognized as one of three individuals worldwide who designed a long-term currency swap market. During his tenure with Bankers Trust, he also created and managed the tax-exempt private placement group, arranged the first-ever geothermal financing using loan guarantees, and created a shelf registration form of private placement, among other accomplishments. Mr. Selig began his illustrious career as an associate in corporate finance at Lehman Brothers, where he worked between 1976 and 1978 and garnered expertise in transactions and advisory services for clients. He notably completed over 250 transactions during his career, primarily in merger acquisitions.

Embarking on his literary journey in 2020, Mr. Selig authored his first book, “Thriving! How to Create a Healthier, Happier, and More Prosperous Life.” The book shares his wisdom and reflects his profound commitment to improving lives by addressing practical aspects of life and wellness. In addition to his book, Mr. Selig has found success through podcasts, speaking engagements at educational institutions, and meetings with various professional and community groups.

Mr. Selig’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics and psychology from the University of Bridgeport in 1974, summa cum laude, and a Master of Business Administration from Stanford University in 1976.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Selig is deeply committed to civic engagement and environmental stewardship. He has undertaken numerous pro bono projects and is actively involved in environmental work. His leadership skills have also been demonstrated through his roles as a scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America and as a coach for his local Little League. Additionally, Mr. Selig manages a donor-advised fund focusing on education, environment, arts, and culture.
